Sydney Dance Company: Momenta at Roslyn Packer Theatre

Barcelona-born choreographer Rafael Bonachela has been artistic director of Sydney Dance Company since 2009, creating a series of critically acclaimed works for the company over the past 15 years. The latest is Momenta, premiering at the Roslyn Packer Theatre on Tuesday May 28 and running for 10 days only.

Momenta takes audiences on a journey through the poetry – and the physicality – of human relationships. An exploration of emotion, rhythmic spatial patterning and jaw-dropping physical ability, Momenta is 75 minutes of pure energy, movement and joyous release. Complementing Bonachela’s signature choreography is a soundscape by composer Nick Wales, set and costume design by Elizabeth Gadsby, and striking lighting from designer Damien Cooper.
